General McCaffrey Slated to Speak at Innovative Government Forum

SACRAMENTO, CALIF. - MAY 16, 2002 - Hansen Information Technologies is pleased to announce that General Barry McCaffrey (Retired), one of the great military leaders and public policy officials of our time, will be a keynote speaker at the 2002 Innovative Government Forum (IGF) on Tuesday, August 27,2002 in Sacramento, California. Gen. McCaffrey will follow Former Vice President Al Gore who will deliver Monday's keynote address at IGF. In addition to General McCaffrey, Hansen also announced today that John Tritak,Director of the Critical Infrastructure Assurance Office (CIAO) will be a featured speaker.

The Innovative Government Forum, sponsored by Hansen Information Technologies and Microsoft Government, is expected to attract nearly 1,000
federal, state and local government officials, including mayors, council members, CIOs, directors of information technology,and departmental and
administrative managers from around the world. IGF highlights the use of critical technologies that help manage the day-to-day operations of
government. This year's conference focuses on key aspects of Citizen Relationship Management, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Homeland
Security, E-Government, Mobile Computing, GIS and Next-Generation Computing.

About General Barry R. McCaffrey
General McCaffrey was commander of the famous 24th Mechanized Infantry Division during the "Left Hook" attack of Operation Desert Storm. He served
as the assistant to General Colin Powell and supported the chairman as the JCS advisor to the Secretary of State and the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. He is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, a director of the Atlantic Council and an associate of the Inter-American Dialog. At retirement, Gen. McCaffrey was the most highly decorated and youngest four-star general in the U.S. Army.

Currently he serves as an expert commentator for NBC News on matters associated with the war on terrorism. Gen. McCaffrey is a compelling speaker
who addresses the key issues of our time including the war on terrorism, international political cooperation, national security issues, leadership,
and-based on his most recent public role as U.S. Drug Czar-the impact of illegal drug use on education, health care, the workplace, families and the criminal justice system. Recently, Gen. McCaffrey met with Cuba's Fidel Castro during an 11-hour meeting discussing a wide range of policy matters.

About John Tritak
Mr. Tritak is a member of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board and is responsible for coordinating the preparation of the administration's National Strategy for Critical Infrastructure and Cyberspace Security to address threats to the nation's communications and electronic systems, transportation, energy, banking and finance, health and medical services, water supply and key government services. He is also
responsible for assisting Federal departments and agencies in identifying their dependencies on critical infrastructure under the Project Matrix
program, and coordinating national awareness and outreach efforts to private industry, and state and local governments.

Before joining the CIAO, Mr. Tritak was an attorney, Deputy Director for Defense Relations and Security Assistance in the State Department's Bureau of Politico-Military Affairs, Deputy Director of the Bureau's Office of Policy Analysis and a State Department adviser to the U.S. delegation negotiating the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty in Geneva, Switzerland.

The CIAO was created in response to a Presidential Decision Directive in May 1998 to coordinate the Federal Government's initiatives on critical
infrastructure assurance. The CIAO's primary areas of focus are to raise issues that cut across industry sectors and ensure a cohesive approach to
achieving continuity in delivering critical infrastructure services.
