July 3, 2015 -- The American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) has announced an extension of its partnership agreement with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) in hosting the annual Membrane Technology Conference and Exposition (MTC) through 2020. Initiated in 2012, this collaboration allowed organizations to combine their annual membrane conferences into one pinnacle event to showcase a wide range of technical programs and a vendor exhibit hall.
The goal of the MTC is to provide a specialized venue that promotes the exchange of membrane expertise and innovation, research and development, regulatory developments, and site experience. The event also provides a focused networking opportunity for industry peers, allowing system owners and operators the opportunity to share case studies and interact with others who face similar da- to-day operational challenges.
The annual MTC is held each year between February and April with recent coast-to-coast venues in Las Vegas, Nev.; Orlando, Fla.; San Antonio, Texas; and Glendale, Ariz. The 2016 MTC will be held in San Antonio on Feb. 1-5. The joint committee is reviewing more than 200 abstracts submitted for the event, and over 1,000 industry professionals and students are expected to enjoy peer-reviewed papers and posters, plant tours, pre-conference workshops, and a variety of networking events.
The MTC continues to attract an extensive international audience with participants expected from over 31 countries. Up to 100 vendors will be exhibiting their membrane-related products and services, and opportunities are still available for interested companies. Attendees are encouraged to register now to take advantage of early registration and hotel discounts.
