Largo, MD., Jan. 14, 2016 -- The Clean Water Partnership is a groundbreaking public-private partnership between Prince George’s County and Corvias Solutions to retrofit up to 2,000 acres of impervious surfaces using green infrastructure. Further, the Partnership is also tasked with driving local economic development by using local, small and minority businesses to build local capacity.

Alongside Prince George’s County, Maryland, Corvias Solutions launched the Clean Water Partnership in November 2014. This initiative is designed to address the county’s stormwater regulatory obligations more efficiently and economically than traditional methods while boosting local economic development.

Facing some of the nation’s most stringent stormwater regulations, Prince George’s County, Maryland turned to Corvias Solutions, a private partner, to retrofit an initial 2000 acres with the potential to add an additional 2,000 acres pending the success of the first phase.

On-going stormwater management workforce training and minority business development programs established through the Clean Water Partnership provide participating residents with long-term career opportunities in landscaping, construction, engineering and technology.

Corvias Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Corvias Group, announced today that they have named David Washington the Director of Program Operations for the Clean Water Partnership, a stormwater public-private partnership between Corvias and Prince George’s County Government.

“David is well-versed in complex, high-level financial planning and program management which will prove invaluable to our efforts to manage the program efficiently.” said Greg Cannito, Managing Director of Corvias Solutions.

David will manage the day-to-day operations of the Community Based Public Private Partnership or (CBP3), Clean Water Partnership, in Prince Georges County including leading the collaborative efforts with the CWP teaming partners to meet the goals and objectives of the program including the integration of project planning, design, and construction; procurement; community outreach; and the social and economic goals of the program.

Washington brings more than 15 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate real estate, project finance and investment analysis, as well as capital program and project management to the Clean Water Partnership. Before joining Corvias, Washington worked at Georgetown University, as the Associate Director of Capital Budget where he led the development of long-term financial and strategic plans totaling over $1 billion for new facilities, major renovations, acquisitions, dispositions and lease transactions, including academic, research, athletic, student housing, and utilities infrastructure projects. Washington holds a MBA and MS in Real Estate and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
