Saudi Arabian SWRO facility upgrades using BEL vessels

Al Fatah Water and Power has selected BEL Composite Industries pressure vessels for the second phase extension of the seawater desalination plant using Reverse Osmosis technology in Al Jubail City, Saudi Arabia.

The system is designed to a capacity of 58,500 m3/day and is expected to be completed by January 2013. Treated water will be provided to the numerous industries located in Al Jubail.

BEL, part of the BEL Group, will supply pressure vessels for both stages of the plant from its production facility in Murcia, Spain. The vessels are equipped with high grade steel side ports in a multiport arrangement.

Previously in the region BEL received an order to supply vessels for the Ashdod Desalination Plant, treating 100,000,000 m3/year in Israel.
