SACRAMENTO, Calif., Aug. 19, 2002 -- The California Department of Water Resources has scheduled five workshops in September to inform local public agencies about requirements for submitting grant proposals under the Local Groundwater Assistance Act (AB 303, Stats. of 2000, ch. 708).

Grants are available to conduct groundwater studies, monitoring, or groundwater management activities. The maximum grant available is $250,000.
The revised application will be available in late August and can be found on the DWR website: http://wwwdpla.water.ca.gov/grants-loans/G8c.html
