COSTA MESA, Calif., July 2, 2002 -- The Keith Companies Inc., an engineering and consulting services firm, announced recently that work has begun on a $435,000 contract from the Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD), for environmental and engineering services for the Dike No. 4 Recharge project.
CVWD is contemplating re-charging approximately 50,000 acre-feet of groundwater per year to reverse declining groundwater levels in the Lower Coachella Valley. This project involves preparation of a Focused Environmental Impact Report, related environmental documents, preliminary engineering, final engineering, specifications, and construction support services for construction of approximately 240 acres of groundwater recharge facilities in the southern portion of the City of La Quinta.
