NSF appoints Nemer vice president of human resources

NSF International (www.nsf.org), The Public Health and Safety Company™, has appointed Kirk D. Nemer, JD, as Vice President of Human Resources.

May 9, 2002 -- NSF International (www.nsf.org), The Public Health and Safety Company™, has appointed Kirk D. Nemer, JD, as Vice President of Human Resources.

NSF develops standards, certifies products, and provides education and risk-management services for public health and safety. Nemer will be responsible for directing the development, implementation and coordination of corporate policies and procedures.

Before joining NSF, Nemer served as Vice President of Operations and Human Resources for Superior Consultant Holdings Corporation and Corporate Counsel for Art Van Furniture, Inc. Prior to that, he served as Legislative Attorney for the United States Congress and Professorial Lecturer of the School of Public Affairs at The American University in Washington, D.C. Nemer holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science, magna cum laude, from The American University and a Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School. He is a member of the State Bars of Colorado and Michigan and the Society for Human Resource Management.

NSF services include product certification and safety audits for the food and water industries. Other services include management systems registrations delivered through NSF International Strategic Registrations, Ltd., and education through the NSF Center for Public Health Education. NSF is a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Food Safety and Drinking Water Safety and Treatment. Serving companies in more than 84 countries, NSF was founded in 1944 and is headquartered in Ann Arbor, MI USA.
