LENEXA, Kan., Jan. 27, 2003 -- During the recently held 94th Annual Water & Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) meeting in LaQuinta, Calif., Chuck Miller, vice president of municipal sales and marketing for Smith & Loveless, Inc., took office as WWEMA treasurer.
The position warrants service for a one- year term. Main responsibilities will include control and general supervision of the finances of the Association. As an executive committee member, he will make recommendations to the board and help make decisions that will effect the direction of the organization.
Over the years, Miller has been generously involved in WWEMA. He has fulfilled two, three-year terms on the Board of Directors. Miller additionally served as the vice-chair of the Drinking Water Committee, and he currently holds the position of chairman of the Membership Committee.
Miller, who received a degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma, joined Smith & Loveless in June 1987 as a project engineer. Since then, he has served as regional sales manager, municipal sales manager, and, since 1997, as vice president of municipal sales and marketing.
