DENVER, CO, Aug. 3, 2010 -- The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is now accepting both poster and oral presentation abstracts for its 130th Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE11) to be held June 12-16, 2011, in Washington, D.C.

The deadline for submitting oral presentation abstracts is September 13, 2010, while poster abstracts are not due until January 11, 2011.

Submission is open to both members and nonmembers with ideas that will impact the water and wastewater industry. Manufacturers are encouraged to submit abstracts outlining new technology, unique product applications, or equipment of interest to the water community.

Papers for both posters and oral presentations will be included in the conference proceedings, and presenters may apply for free conference registration the day of their presentation.

The presentations selected by AWWA volunteers will comprise the conference professional program of more than 100 half-day sessions. The professional program provides the water community with cutting-edge technical and managerial information. There are sessions designed for utility board members and city council members, personnel directors, public communications managers, customer service professionals and financial managers as well as utility executives and managers, operators, researchers and engineers.
