WASHINGTON, DC, Nov. 16, 2010 -- The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association has named Ken George, Director of Treatment Sales at ITT Water and Wastewater USA, as its "Member of the Year." The James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award was presented to Mr. George on November 12 at the WWEMA 102nd Annual Meeting in Tucson, Arizona
The award was created to recognize outstanding achievement in serving the interests of the Association. "Since his first interactions with WWEMA in the early 1970s, Ken has demonstrated remarkable leadership and dedication and leaves a legacy of success," said Dr. Ernest Childs, 2010 WWEMA Chairman.
The award was named in the memory of former WWEMA Chairman James Morriss who founded JCM Industries, a leading manufacturer of pipe fittings based in Nash, Texas.
Ken George served as WWEMA's Chairman in 2006. His company, which offers a variety of technologies for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment applications, joined WWEMA in 1967.
