Click here to enlarge imageThe new generation LS-10 submersible meets technical requirements with its 4-20 mA two-wire output signal and accuracy of 0.25 percent. Featuring submersion up to 300 feet, the transmitter is available with 11 standard pressure ranges and a polyurethane-jacketed cable. The LS-10 is assembled at WIKA's 210,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Lawrenceville, GA. Local assembly allows for almost immediate delivery of the LS-10. WIKA also provides custom cable lengths for the submersible with less than a one-week lead time.
Catering to special requirements, the LH-10 is available with 0.125 percent accuracy and is suited for aggressive environments. The 40-foot (standard length) vented cable realizes the pressure reference to atmospheric pressure for hydrostatic liquid level measurement.
The LH-10 offers the advantage of longitudinal water resistance, supplied as standard, which guarantees against ingress of water into the probe even if the cable sheath is damaged. The unit can be submerged up to 1000 feet.
Available options include a 6-30 vDC low supply voltage requirement with a 0.5-2.5 volt output and 2 mA current draw for installations dependent upon battery or solar power sources. The transmitter can also be supplied with lightning protection to IEC 801-5 (1.5kV) standards. Additional weights are available when long cable lengths are used and high flow rates are encountered.
Both the LH-10 and LS-10 submersible level transmitters provide an electronic signal that is linear and proportional to the liquid height above the sensor element. The transmitters are available in ranges from 0 to 50 inches water column up to 400 psi, provide a stable output with repeatability better than 0.05 percent span and linearity
The transmitters undergo extensive testing and calibration. Surface mount technology provides added protection from shock and vibration. Each unit is temperature compensated to ensure accuracy and long-term stability over extreme temperature variations.
Both transmitters feature low temperature drift and a vented, watertight cables with high tensile strength. The cable is designed to withstand over 200 pounds of pull strength, enabling the transmitters to be supported without additional cabling. Reverse polarity, protection against short circuit output and a suppressor diode for high-voltage situations provide electrical protection and meet IP68, the Ingress Protection standard for electrical equipment. The stainless steel case and polyamide protective cap shield the transmitters from harsh environments.
Available accessories include a cable straining clamp, a filter element for self-mounting with shrink hose, temperature measurement with integrated Pt 100-element, additional weight, and a NEMA junction cable box.
