Mueller's hydrant retrofit kit allows for water utilities to upgrade their fire hydrants with the latest technology without digging a hole.
The cost to replace water assets such as fire hydrants can often be a barrier, which Mueller is aiming to eliminate with this kit. The retrofit kit allows utilities to replace bonnets, pumper caps, stem pins and the lower stem and more without the need to excavate.
In replacing these parts, Mueller offers a 10-year limited warranty, along with the ability to upgrade the hydrant with leak detection capabilities from its Echologics line of products.
Mueller, which is celebrating 50 years of manufacturing at its Albertville, Alabama plant, did not share a firm date on the release of the hydrant retrofit kit. Visit the Mueller website to learn more and become the first to know about the launch.
