Dresser Utility Solutions, a company that provides water distribution products, announced that it has acquired Total Piping Solutions (TPS), a company that manufactures products for pipe tapping, repair, and joining.
Dresser acquired all the assets of TPS, including its patents and trademarked products. The company said that TPS will be incorporated into its Dresser Pipeline Solutions (DPS) business, which directly serves the water and wastewater markets. The acquisition will expand DPS’s offerings and distribution network.
"This acquisition is a complimentary move for both Dresser and TPS and will benefit water utilities and municipalities, by allowing us to provide a complete product portfolio to assist in the remediation and renewal of aging infrastructure in the U.S. and globally,” says Joe Tarszowicz, vice president of operations for DPS.
Specifically, TPS’s trademarked products TX3, Triple Tap, Quick Cam, and Ultra-Sleeve can now be combined with Dresser's existing product line, which includes AIS-compliant products to diameters of over 120 inches.
"TPS offers innovative, patented products designed specifically for water, wastewater, and industrial applications,” says Daryl Piontek, TPS’s president of operations and engineering. “Dresser's vast manufacturing expertise, combined with our customer-focused solutions, will allow for innovative new product development designed for the water market."
