PORTLAND, Maine, November 21, 2002 -- Woodard & Curran has announced that Eric Carlson, C.G., P.E., Helen Priola, P.E., Brian Dooley, and Thomas Scelfo, Q.E.P., have been promoted to Senior Vice Presidents and shareholders in the firm.

Eric Carlson has more than 17 years of experience in civil engineering and hydrogeology. He has helped develop Woodard & Curran's services to the beverage industry, making the firm a growing contender in the industry. These services span the development of new spring water sites to the design of bottling plant process, mechanical, and utility systems. Carlson is a graduate of the University of Maine, earning a bachelor's degree in geology as well as bachelor's and master of science degrees in civil engineering.
Brian Dooley has helped develop Woodard & Curran's client base throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic region, and has further developed the firm's work in the federal market segment. He has more than 20 years of experience in environmental consulting and engineering and has extensive experience in construction services associated with site investigation, remedial techniques, and the cleanup of hazardous waste sites. Dooley earned a bachelor's of science degree in biology from Westfield State University in Massachusetts.
Helen Priola has more than 21 years of civil engineering experience. She specializes in the planning, design, and construction management of water, stormwater, and wastewater engineering projects. She has worked on numerous projects for state authorities, such as the Metropolitan District Commission, the Boston Water and Sewer Commission, and the Narragansett Bay Commission.
She also is a frequent speaker at regional, national, and international conferences. Priola earned a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.
Thomas Scelfo's 29-year career in environmental engineering has focused on regulatory compliance and hazardous waste issues. He has been involved with air pollution control and permitting; regulatory compliance audits and training; hazardous and industrial waste incineration; and site investigation and remediation.
He has significant experience with the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Resource Conservation and Recovery Act corrective action program. Scelfo earned a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering from Manhattan College in New York.
