WASHINGTON, DC, Nov. 17, 2011 -- The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association has named Tom Mills, Vice President of Marketing & Business Development at Severn Trent Services (Fort Washington, PA), as its "Member of the Year." The James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award was presented to Mr. Mills on November 11 at the WWEMA 103rd Annual Meeting in St. Pete Beach, Florida.
The award was created to recognize outstanding achievement in serving the interests of the Association. "Tom Mills represents all that is good about the organization, having served as a former Chairman and continuing to provide exemplary service to the Association, most recently as Chair of the Investment Committee. He has nurtured other personnel in his company to follow in his footsteps and take an active role in WWEMA, thus ensuring the Association's continued prosperity," said Dan Durda, WWEMA Chairman.
The award was named in the memory of former WWEMA Chairman James Morriss who founded JCM Industries, a leading manufacturer of pipe fittings based in Nash, Texas.
Tom Mills served as WWEMA's Chairman in 2008. His company, Severn Trent Services, offers a broad range of products and services to the water and wastewater industry and has been a member of WWEMA for 50 years.
