Process to clean used activated carbons seeks participants, partners

Dec. 5, 2008 -- Professional Analytical and Consulting Services (PACS) is seeking participants and partners to test its technology for cleaning used activated carbons. Specifically, PACS is seeking participants who are granular activated carbon (GAC) users providing water purification. The participant's role involves a three-step interaction with PACS.

Step 1: Carbon user obtains a representative sample of unused GAC.
Step 2: The unused GAC is exhausted by passing raw water through unused GAC. These two samples (unused and used granular activated carbon are sent to PACS with payment) are evaluated at PACS laboratories with Gravimetric Rapid Pore Size Distribution (GRPD) testing. Participant receives a full characterization of unused and used GAC in their application.
Step 3: PACS performs its new cleaning process on used GAC and compares the cleaned product with your unused GAC and used GAC (step 2 above)

Partners are providers of products and services for the drinking water market interested in new product commercializations.
