"Our clients' need for effective, business-oriented solutions is growing and represents a significant growth opportunity in the global and U.S. markets. The decision to strengthen WSP's ecosystem science and restoration capabilities is a direct response to our clients' urgent need for integrated expertise in this area."
Three prominent professionals have joined the firm to lead the new group: Lyndon C. Fetherston, Ph.D., an expert in design and construction of waters/wetlands ecosystem restorations and co-author of The Earth Sanctuary 500-Year Plan.
Services offered by the ES&R group will include natural resources assessment and management, ecosystem ecology, habitat assessments and valuation, endangered species studies, regulatory assistance/permitting, and ecological restoration design and construction supervision, among others.
