ALBANY, OR, OCT 6, 2017 -- Fluid Technology Solutions (FTS) Inc., a global leader in forward osmosis membranes and water treatment technologies, has partnered with Arizona-based My360Project to send 24,000 of its WaterDrop™ personal hydration pouches to the residents of Puerto Rico, recently ravaged by hurricanes Irma and Maria. My360Project is a non-profit organization involved in the large-scale relief efforts to help the island's 3.4 million residents. The FTS WaterDrop pouches utilize the company's Osmo F2O™ forward osmosis technology to convert non-potable brackish water, even muddy water, into a half liter of clean nutrientenriched drink, similar to sports drinks commonly found in grocery stores. The pouches employ an extremely tight membrane with 0.0007 micron pores to provide a 99.9999% bacteria-free drink that is rich in essential electrolytes.
"We are honored to join the My360Project team to help the residents of Puerto Rico," said Keith Lampi, president of Fluid Technology Solutions. "Our WaterDrop pouches will help meet a very basic, yet very critical, human need. We are pleased to share our resources and skills to support this important relief initiative."
