The foundation selected seven new projects to receive funding through its Tailored Collaboration Program, focusing on various high-priority One Water research topics.

The Water Research Foundation (WRF) announced that it has selecting seven new projects to receive a total of $826,000 through its Tailored Collaboration Program.

The projects, with a total combined research value of $3.34 million, will focus on various high-priority One Water research topics, including emerging contaminants, emissions from pipe rehabilitation, source water quality, disinfection in distribution systems and water resource recovery facility effluent, and more.

The Tailored Collaboration Program supports regional or utility-specific research concepts by providing up to $150,000 in matching funds to WRF subscribing utilities.

“The Tailored Collaboration Program is a wonderful way for subscribers to leverage their funds,” says said Dr. Kenan Ozekin, WRF Research Unit Leader. “The WRF match enables subscribers to accomplish more with their research while also benefiting from WRF’s project management and expert review processes,”

The approved projects not only address the utilities’ specialized research needs but also have the potential for broader applicability across the water sector.
