Permeable pavements can be built to last…if you build them right. And the key to building for performance is designing to provide sufficient structural capacity to accommodate the anticipated vehicle loads and deal with stormwater flowing in and out of the pavement.

Finally, we’ll discuss how to identify these potential issues in your permeable pavement design and construction and how to avoid them to better ensure the cost-effective use of your transportation investments.
