Kim Lehmann will become the new CEO of Danish technology company Kamstrup following Per Asmussen, who is leaving Kamstrup for health reasons.
Kim Lehmann comes from a top position as President and CEO at former GN company, GN Otometrics. He has delivered impressive results in GN Otometrics as well as in a number of other high-tech companies, where he has created growth and developed them into profitable businesses.
”With his international experience and insight into developing hardware and software for a global market, Kim Lehmann has the right profile to take over the baton from Per Asmussen,” says Chairman of Kamstrup, Jørgen Wisborg. ”I trust that under Kim Lehmann’s leadership, Kamstrup will remain a healthy business that can continue to finance a significantly higher level of development than our closest competitors. This is one of the cornerstones of being able to deliver on our vision to be the world’s leading supplier of intelligent metering solutions for energy and water utilities. I look forward to a great cooperation”.

Kim Lehmann will be taking over a company that has seen continued profitable growth throughout the past eight years, and one that has, under the leadership of Per Asmussen, constantly challenged the limits for how much value an intelligent metering solution can create for the utility. Per Asmussen passes on a well- consolidated company with a strong foundation to the new CEO. He will ensure continued growth and further develop the company’s journey from providing intelligent meters to digitalising utilities. As a result, Kamstrup’s board of directors will consist of Kim Lehmann and CFO Henrik Rom.
”Kamstrup is an incredibly exciting company with a huge growth potential, and I am looking forward to becoming part of it. Technology and digitalisation can create great value for utilities all over the world and of course, it is crucial to unlock the enormous potential of, among other things, reducing the amount of water and energy that is wasted before it reaches the consumer. Kamstrup is widely recognised for delivering quality and for their technical expertise, and I look forward to continuing the culture of innovation that is key to creating results”, says Kim Lehmann.
Kamstrup produces intelligent solutions for metering and optimising the supply of water, heat and electricity all over the world and the company has an ambitious goal that someday, one billion people will be getting clean water from a water network with Kamstrup intelligence. Headquartered in Stilling just outside of Aarhus in central Denmark, Kamstrup employs 1,250 people across 24 countries and expects a turnover of EUR 260 million in 2017.
