Mapping software

Spatial Data Integrations has released WaterWorks/FMTM digital mapping software designed for water utilities. The application is aimed at making GIS and facility management affordable to virtually any water utility. It has an interface that makes it simple for someone with little or no knowledge of GIS (or computers) to accurately enter pipelines, valves, fittings, meters and other items into an automated system. Once this information is captured, the analytical tools of a GIS enable the utility to perform routine or complex analyses of its operation. In addition, other utility information files, including customer, billing, accounting, SCADA, etc., can be placed "on the map" making the data available by clicking a point or posing a question to the system. The software has a Windows interface and can be used to map current locations of wells, water tanks, mains, hydrants, valves, service lines, fittings, customer meters and more. Automated drawing aids simplify adding new features to maps. Elevation information is automatically added for each node in the system.
