Data management
WaterTrax, www.watertrax.com, is an interactive website for monitoring and managing drinking water quality data and water utility operating information such as water demand. The Subscriber Service is now available, allowing for personal data input and associated jurisdiction advisory notices, linked to a Subscriber's water testing results. Subscribers are able to enter their own water quality and operating data, and then compare those results against the drinking water quality standards for their state or province. If any results do not meet the relevant standards, then an alert will be sent to the water system operator. The site provides organized and relevant content based on a subscriber's particular regulatory needs.

Metering pump
JESCO America has introduced the MEMDOS E/DX, a new line of mechanical diaphragm, chemical metering pumps. These motor-driven pumps suit a wide range of applications, due in part to their small footprint and high suction lift capabilities. The MEMDOS line is available in two versions: the manual E and the intelligent DX. The DX version adds internal microprocessor control for up to 1400:1 turndown. The NEMA 4x enclosed electronics provide the choice of manual or external control by pulse, multiplication/division or analog/4-20 mA. Remote Start/Stop capabilities and input signal monitoring and output alarms are available. By integrating speed control, the DX eliminates the need for external variable speed controllers. Control is achieved via touch pad keys and LCD display. Capacities are available up to 92 gph and pressures up to 150 psig.

Mud recycler
American Augers offers a full-featured mud recycling system for use with any brand of directional drill which uses 80 to 100 gallons of mud per minute. The MCM-1000B can process up to 160 gallons per minute and has a tank capacity of 1,000 gallons. Accumulated solids in the bore often is given as one key reason for stuck drill pipe. A high volume of clean mud will float solids to the surface for disposal. Mud recycling increases the success rate of bores, reduces the expense for bentonite and helps maintain a tidy job site. The recycler uses a linear motion shaker to separate out sand, grit and other solids from the drilling mud.
