The Hoffer Mini-Flowmeter Engineering Guide covers its MF Series developed to meet the need for a low flow measurement device for service on clean, low and moderate viscosity liquids and gas measurement applications. The devices are based on a Pelton wheel-like rotor. The measured fluid is directed tangentially through a velocity nozzle against the rotor. The pickup coil senses the rotor's motion and converts it to a pulsing output signal. The guide shows photographs and provides graphs for output characteristics, the calibration curve, and viscosity effects. Tables give flow rate capability, pressure drop characteristics, and gas capacity. Topics covered include materials, bearings, pickup, performance, electronic linearization accessories, enclosures, installation, specifications and various applications.

Surge protection
A new brochure from Current Technology® explains how to prevent the impact of electrical surges. Without proper protection, surges can cause data loss, downtime and damage to variable speed drives, PLCs, sensitive motors and other electronic equipment. The brochure covers the benefits of surge protection devices (SPDs) and the differences between SPDs and UPS systems.
