FARMINGDALE, NY, March 23, 2005 (PRNewswire) -- Ducon Technologies Inc. announced that one of its group companies, Environeering Environmental Co. (EEC) will supply its advanced limestone flue gas desulfurization (FGD) technology for four 300 MW boilers of Zhanjiang Power Co.'s cola fired power plant in China.
Ducon's advanced limestone FGD technology was selected to be the best among all bidders due to its proprietary Ventri-Rod design, lower liquid to gas ratios, lower power consumption and high sulfur dioxide removal efficiency. The FGD system will utilize limestone as the reagent to achieve over 92% SO2 removal efficiency. Aron Govil, President of Ducon said, "Our limestone FGD technology is the most advanced in the world market due to the combination of the sprays and the Ventri-Rod deck inside our scrubber."
Ducon's EEC unit will work with its local Chinese partner to provide a turnkey installation that will also include limestone feeding system and the waste bleed filtration and gypsum production system. The FGD technology is a zero discharge system utilizing all wastewater in the system thus reducing the need for fresh water and eliminating waste disposal costs.
