Click here to enlarge imageHuntingdon Fusion Technique Ltd., Pipestoppers™ design group recently introduced changes to its popular aluminium expanding Mechanical Pipe Plugs, which now means that the range extends from 1.5” to an increased size of 36”. The range from 1.5” to 5” is available in 1/2-inch sizes, from 6” to 10” in 1-inch sizes and 12” to 36” in a range of 1-inch to 2-inch variations covering all standard pipe diameters. A major benefit of aluminium plugs is higher heat tolerance over the nylon range, obviating the risk of material softening, leading to potential loss of seal. An additional advantage, particularly in larger sizes, is that the aluminium plugs are considerably lighter than their steel counterparts.
