ZURICH, AUG 23, 2018 -- Aquarion Group, a leading provider of advanced water systems, solutions and technologies for the oil & gas industry, the energy sector and other process industries, announces that H+E MFT in Cologne, Germany, has been awarded a project for design, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of a water treatment plant in Saudi Arabia. The plant, which will supply approximately 50,000 m3/day of drinking water to a customer in the utilities sector, consists of six production lines and a total of 42 modularized containers housing the water treatment system with integrated Zero Liquid Discharge.
The plant will treat dam water to high quality suitable for drinking. The project consists of four treatment stages using flocculation tanks, followed by lamella clarifiers, dead-end ultrafiltration and activated carbon (AC) filtration. Zero Liquid Discharge has been integrated into the whole system using the newest decanter technology developed by H+E MFT and evaporation ponds.
H+E MFT has successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in Cologne for the first of the two production lines, which has now been shipped to Saudi Arabia. The project is expected to be commissioned in the beginning of 2019.
"This project leverages the efficacy of H+E MFT's membrane technology and the company's expertise in providing cost effective, highly efficient containerized solutions for customers across an array of industries," said Andreas Flach, Technical Director of H+E MFT.
Based in Cologne, Germany, H+E MFT is known for innovative membrane technology solutions.
Its technology portfolio includes microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis systems, and its membrane filtration systems come in a wide range of configurations, including tubular and hollow fiber modules, ceramic, plate and frame, and spiral wound modules.
