SANTA ANA, Calif., January 16, 2002 -- National Water & Power (NWP), the nation's provider of utility billing services and customer information systems (CIS) software for utilities, has announced the appointment of Randy Lintecum as Chairman and CEO.
Lintecum will be based at the firm's Santa Ana headquarters, where he will be responsible for the overall performance and operational growth of NWP and its two tightly integrated business units, NWP Billing and Open-c Solutions.
NWP Billing provides outsourced billing services to real estate owners. Open-c Solutions focuses on customer information systems (CIS) software for major utilities and billing service companies.
"We are very pleased to have Randy join us as the CEO of NWP," said Anthony Buffa, Managing General Partner of Endeavor Capital Management and Director and former Chairman of the Board for NWP. "Randy comes to NWP with an impressive record of building market technology and billing companies. His deep knowledge of both the billing and software sectors makes him the ideal individual to prepare NWP for its next stage of growth."
Prior to joining NWP, Lintecum served as Chairman and CEO of Realty Plus Online (RPO), an award-winning Internet technology company focusing on the real estate industry. During his tenure at RPO, Lintecum directed the development of the first technology for online real estate closings and secured a multi-million dollar contract with a national real estate brokerage firm for its use.
Before his post at RPO, Lintecum was president and CEO for Output Technology Solutions (OTS), the nation's largest provider of outsourced statement processing and billing services. In just five years, he grew the company from $95 million in revenues to more than $450 million and was responsible for the successful acquisition of major new billing customers, including UPS, Ford Motor Credit, FEDEX and AT&T Wireless.
Lintecum has also held top executive positions at such companies as International Billing Services, USCS International and Computer Sciences Corporation/Infonet Services.
"I am very excited to be joining NWP and the highly talented and successful teams in place at both NWP Billing and Open-c Solutions," said Lintecum. "Over the last several years, these teams have helped position NWP Billing as a billing company in the U.S. with an extensive portfolio of services and led Open-c Solutions in its development of state-of-the art technology that is changing the face of the utility billing industry. With these achievements in place, it is time to take NWP to the next level and I look forward to working with a company that is poised for tremendous growth and even greater success."
