Nov. 13, 2002 - The conference is organized by the European Water Association (EWA) in co-operation with the Polish Association of Sanitary Engineers and Technicians (PZITS) and the Polish Committee of IWA. It takes place on Thursday, 13 February 2003 in Warsaw, Poland, in combination with the exhibition Energy, Water and Waste Expo 2003.
Eleven speakers from both Western and Eastern Europe will present experiences from Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, United Kingdom, the European Union in general, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Latvia.
The topics will cover legislative aspects as the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive, the Drinking Water Directive, the Nitrates Directive and the Water Framework Directive. Additional subjects will be the financing of infrastructure and institutional questions.
The participation fee of 150 EUR includes the proceedings and the entrance to the exhibition. The conference language is English.
