WEST COVINA, Calif., July 11, 2002 -- Southwest Water Co. recently announced that its stock has been added to the Russell 2000 Index. The index, compiled by the Frank Russell Company, is a ranking of the smallest two-thirds of the largest 3,000 U.S. stocks, as measured by market capitalization. At the close of trading on July 10, 2002, Southwest Water Company's market capitalization was approximately $150 million.
