Lacey, Wash., July 25, 2002 -- Engineered Software, Inc. announced the release of its latest fluid flow analysis software, PIPE-FLO Professional version 7.1. Version 7.1 includes several new features, making the design, analysis and troubleshooting of piping systems easier and faster.
The software includes new features which increase the program's ease of use, and facilitate collaboration between engineering firms and clients, managers and maintenance personnel, and all groups that may need to utilize it.
Version 7.1 contains a viewer program, allowing design files to be examined even if the viewer does not own a copy of PIPE-FLO. Through FLO-Links, users can create hyperlinks to documents, allowing them to easily keep tabs on system specifications, selected equipment, and other relevant information.
The FLO-Sheet has been redesigned to closely resemble CAD drawings, so it can readily be exported to AutoCAD. This allows CAD users to use the PIPE-FLO drawing as a basis or starting point for system design, with minimal conversion issues. Devon Ellis, Lead PIPE-FLO Developer, stated that "In addition to highly-requested features like undo and zooming text, we've added other features...that turn PIPE-FLO into as much a presentation tool as a calculation tool."
Said Ray Hardee, Chief Engineer, "PIPE-FLO Professional v7.1 shows how new technologies and features make it easier to get work done, share information, collaborate with others, and perform a multitude of tasks associated with piping system design, maintenance and operation."
