TORONTO, Canada, April 23, 2002 -- Ozolutions Inc., a distributor of environmentally friendly water treatment systems, has announced initial sales of about US $100,000 of ELCE International water activation systems in Costa Rica and Canada.
With these sales and other proposals under review, Ozolutions is no longer a development stage company. Ozolutions Inc. having recently obtained exclusive ELCE distribution rights for Canada and Costa Rice reports significant customer interest in potential ELCE solutions for aquacultural, agricultural, industrial and commercial water treatment applications.
ELCE's patented Japanese technology is a unique, environmentally friendly method for changing the physical chemistry of water without adding or removing minerals. ELCE also eliminates the use of chemicals often used in other conventional water treatment methods.
In Canada, Ozolutions is installing a large ELCE unit for the heating system at a large facility whose boiler system had been using chemicals to treat the buildup of scale and corrosion. ELCE units eliminate the need for chemicals, carry a 10 year guarantee, are maintenance free and easily installed. In a printing plant, an ELCE unit has eliminated the use of a chemical solution used to promote more efficient bonding of water with printing ink. In addition to savings on chemical solutions, preliminary results indicate less tension on print rollers which may prolong equipment life while further study may determine if less ink is required when ELCE activated water is used.
In Costa Rica, ELCE units are being installed in several different industries. In a petroleum refinery cooling tower and at the largest refrigeration company in Costa Rica, ELCE technology will protect against the buildup of sludge and scale, maintenance costs will be eliminated and chemical usage will be reduced while system and energy efficiency may be increased.
At a meat processing plant, ELCE water activation is expected to extend the shelf life and improve the taste of processed meat products. A producer of consumer sauces has also found that water activation has increased the shelf life of sauces and salsa products. Ozolutions is currently pursuing a pilot installation for a Costa Rican hospital and, if successful, will target the remaining hospitals in the Country.
In Panama and Ecuador, trials are continuing on algae and larvae at shrimp farms to promote faster growth, uniform size and possible reductions in mortality. Initial tests have indicated mortality rates for larvae have been reduced.
In previously conducted agricultural trials, melon, lettuce and other food crops have demonstrated superior root and stem growth as well as greater size while maintaining desired taste standards.
Ozolutions President, Max Weissengruber, commented that "There are many uses for ELCE activated water. Whether installed in an industrial or commercial building to reduce scale, rust and corrosion or in printing and painting industries to improve the bonding of ink and paint, ELCE technology can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of many water based systems.
Since 1987, ELCE water activation has been widely used with payback on investment generally returned within a two year period. By eliminating chemicals, there is no environmental impact and equipment life may also be extended . ELCE'S ten year guarantee and maintenance free design provide additional cost and performance benefits."
Based on the company's successful applications in selected industries, Ozolutions will partner with firms who have an established customer base in those market sectors and who are looking to provide additional productivity and cost saving technologies for their valued customers.
