Water treatment experts to meet in Phoenix Sept. 17-20

The Association of Water Technologies (AWT), an international trade association representing nearly 600 regional companies specializing in industrial and commercial water treatment, will discuss many important topics in the water treatment industry at its Annual Water Technologies Convention & Exposition in Phoenix Sept. 17-20.

Aug. 18, 2003 -- The Association of Water Technologies (AWT), an international trade association representing nearly 600 regional companies specializing in industrial and commercial water treatment, will discuss many important topics in the water treatment industry at its Annual Water Technologies Convention & Exposition in Phoenix.

Conference highlights include discussions on:

* Legionella and Legionnaires' Disease - With the number of Legionnaires' cases increasing at alarming rates throughout various regions of the U.S., the AWT will host sessions about how to control Legionnaires' Disease in water systems and whether or not to sample cooling towers and domestic water for Legionella.

* Black and Toxic Mold, Legionella and Mycobacterium - As the U.S. water treatment industry integrates air and water environmental services, Colin Frayne, CWT, Metro Group, will discuss the resulting services, problems and market opportunities of air and water hygiene and building environmental services.

* Boiler Feed Water Treatment - Utilizing reverse osmosis, David H. Paul, David H. Paul, Inc., will give an overview of boiler water/boiler feed water contaminant limits with an emphasis on metals, silica and TOC.

* Enhanced and Super-Enhanced Tubes - The Association of Water Technologies will release its latest paper on enhanced and super- enhanced tubes.
