ITT Industries' fluid businesses launch new web site

ITT Industries announced that it has launched a new web site to reflect the changing makeup and integrated solutions provided by its fluid businesses.

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J., Sept. 9, 2003 -- ITT Industries announced that it has launched a new web site to reflect the changing makeup and integrated solutions provided by its fluid businesses.

The new site -- located at www.ittfluidbusiness.com -- gives customers, prospects and other constituents a comprehensive view of the relationships between the company's many complimentary brands.

Since 1995 ITT Industries has steadily expanded in its core water and wastewater pump markets through aggressive product innovation and organic sales growth. At the same time, the company has added to its capabilities in complimentary markets -- including aeration, monitoring, filtration and reverse osmosis -- through a series of strategic acquisitions.

The new web site aims to demonstrate how ITT's new products and acquired capabilities mesh to provide customers with sophisticated solutions in water, wastewater, building trade, bio-chemical/pharmaceutical, and industrial markets.

"We continue to execute on a business strategy designed to bring together products and services in adjacent markets in order to deliver greater value through complete solutions -- not just standalone products," said Robert Ayers, president of ITT Industries' Fluid Technology group. "Our new web site illustrates this strategy for customer and prospects and makes it easy for them to visualize ITT Industries' capabilities."

The new site uses new web technologies and a "simulated environment" design to present visitors with typical municipal or industrial fluid handling applications.

By clicking through these simulated environments, guests can drill-down within specific applications to get detailed information about ITT brands and products at play. Customers can then click through to the home pages of individual brands -- like Bell & Gossett, Flygt, Flowtronex, Goulds, Lowara, Pure-Flo, Sanitaire and Jabsco - to get customer service or sales information.

"Because ITT has changed significantly over the past few years, there is a clear need to educate our customers and prospects on the wide range of fluid handling products and services the company provides," said Bjorn von Euler, director of communications for ITT Fluid Technology. "This site provides visitors a comprehensive bird's-eye view of how our many industry-leading brands come together to provide "total fluid handling solutions" for many applications."

ITT Industries, Inc. (www.itt.com) supplies advanced technology products and services in key markets including: electronic interconnects and switches; defense communication, opto-electronics, information technology and services; fluid and water management and other specialty products. Headquartered in White Plains, NY, the company generated $4.99 billion in 2002 sales. In addition to the New York Stock Exchange, ITT Industries stock is traded on the Midwest, Pacific, Paris and Frankfurt exchanges.
