DRAPER, Utah, April 20, 2001--Liquitek Enterprises Inc. Friday announced that its Thermoflow subsidiary located in North Las Vegas, Nev., has recently received a Class II wastewater contribution permit.
Issued by municipal authorities, this permit authorizes the discharge of processed water into the city's wastewater facilities in accordance with conditions set forth in the permit. With the permit, Thermoflow can diversify its current operations to include the pretreatment of oily wastewater to complement its antifreeze recycling.
Thermoflow plans to begin treating oily wastewater sources such as petroleum-source cleaning operations, such as oil traps from car washes and service stations, and storm water runoff generated at industrial sites. Thermoflow's treatment process separates contaminants such as oils, fuels, detergents and metals from water.
The contaminants are then contained for proper disposal while the water is discharged pursuant to the terms of the Class II permit into the municipality's wastewater facilities.

``Thermoflow can move forward with providing off-site, oily wastewater cleaning services to existing customers and new customers throughout Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Southern and Central California. Our existing plant equipment and technologies have always had the capability to treat various wastewater streams, but until we received the Class II permit we have been restricted to antifreeze recycling.''
Thermoflow will utilize current excess plant capacity to process any wastewater received from customers. Because no new equipment and little additional expense will be required to provide this ``green'' service, Thermoflow is positioned to meet the growing need for safe, reliable wastewater treatment.
Liquitek Enterprises Inc.'s desire to expand its current operations and apply its environmentally friendly technologies to other applications was the driving force behind seeking and obtaining the Class II permit for Thermoflow and previously entering into a licensing agreement with Unitek of Hawaii through its Liquitek Corp. subsidiary.
For several years, Unitek has been using the same technology currently used by Thermoflow to recycle antifreeze to successfully and profitably treat a wide range of oily wastewater streams, including bilge water from ships.
