TUCSON, AZ, May 16, 2008 -- Irrigation and landscape professionals interested in enhancing their knowledge and skill sets will have a variety of courses to choose from in the Sunshine State this summer. Rain Bird Services Corporation is pleased to announce the dates and locations of Rain Bird Academy's 2008 summer irrigation training camps in Florida.

Rain Bird Academy's Florida training camps are ideal for contractors who live in Florida or those who want to plan a working vacation in a sunny, attractive destination. Scheduled for July 7-11, the Professional Training Camp at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando takes place in an entertaining setting with plenty of activities for the entire family. The camp features a choice of 35 courses over five days, providing landscape irrigation professionals with expert instruction on the latest irrigation products, newest installation methods, best practices in irrigation design and cutting-edge business skills. A number of the classes at the Professional Training Camp are also offered in Spanish, enabling even more contractors to participate.

In addition to the Professional Regional Training Camp in Orlando, Rain Bird Academy is also offering a variety of Regional Training Camps throughout Florida. Scheduled for three to four days, the regional events are condensed versions of the Professional Camp, with an abridged schedule of irrigation courses. Dates and locations include:

St. Petersburg, Fla., July 14-18, 2008
Naples, Fla., July 21-25, 2008
Miami, Fla., July 28-Aug. 1, 2008
Miami, Fla., Aug. 4-8, 2008. (Courses on these dates are taught in Spanish.)

Both the Professional Training Camp and the Regional Training Camps teach irrigation professionals how to conserve time, money and water through improved irrigation practices. Irrigators will a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) from the Irrigation Association for each hour of class attended.
