Paques is improving in the Far East rather than in Europe, with the most recent order for the Dutch wastewater treatment specialist received from paper giant Nine Dragon to the Chinese sister company of Paques bv. It concerns a BIOPAQ
®IC (Internal Circulation) anaerobic
wastewater treatment system to be included in construction of a new paper mill that will be built in
Tianjin, China. This will be reactor number 15 ordered with Paques from this group.
In total, Paques has delivered more than 140 IC installations in
the paper industry. A special milestone recently was the 100th IC installation that was delivered to DS Smith Kaysersberg in France, the continental European division of DS Smith Plc for the manufacture of cardboard and corrugated packaging. Recently visiting this factory, Rob Heim, general manager of Paques bv, presented a plaque of Royal Tichelaar Makkum (made by an almost 450-year-old company in the Netherlands that manufactures traditional tilework and ornamental ware). During this visit, it could be concluded that the customer was very satisfied with the results of the wastewater treatment plant and that the effluent meets the qualities more than required.
