HaloSource, the clean water and antimicrobial solutions company, has opened a new office and manufacturing facilities in Bangalore, India, to continue the commercialization and development of its HaloPure drinking water purification business. HaloSource's India unit, HaloSource Technologies Private Limited, is headed by its Chief Executive for India, Manoj Das, who has been with the company since early 2007.
The opening ceremonies featured senior HaloSource staff from its US and India operations, as well as suppliers, customers and officials from the Karnataka State government. The ceremony included an introductory speech and ribbon cutting by HaloSource President and CEO, John Kaestle and was followed by a traditional Indian reception including a dance performance by a local troop.
The newly constructed, 14,000 square foot facility employs 16 people and will be supported by its US head office. This facility closely follows the opening of HaloSource's Shanghai, China facility which opened its doors last September.
John Kaestle, President and Chief Executive Officer of the parent company HaloSource Inc, said, "We are thrilled to open this new production facility and office. Our growth in India has outstripped the capacity of our initial location. We built this new facility to accommodate both our existing business and to further support our growing Indian and international customer base."
HaloSource's unique contact biocide technology (HaloPure BR) is US EPA registered and meets the World Health Organizations guidelines for safety and disinfection. "This technology has the capacity to impact human health and bring purified drinking water to millions of people," said Kaestle. "This new office and facility will help us do that."
