DENVER, CO, Sept. 27, 2007 -- CH2M HILL OMI experts have been helping manage the wastewater plant for the city of Dallas, Ore., since November. Now, the city has decided to expand the partnership, selecting CH2M HILL OMI to provide complete operations and maintenance services.
In a unanimous vote Sept. 4, the Dallas City Council approved signing a three-year contract with CH2M HILL OMI, which will begin managing the city's 3.4 million-gallon-per-day wastewater facility on Oct. 15. The agreement was officially signed Sept. 25.
"Building strong connections with our clients is always important to us, but it is especially gratifying when a city tries a small portion our services, sees the value and expertise we can offer, and then chooses to take its partnership with CH2M HILL OMI to a new level," says Mark Lasswell, president of CH2M HILL OMI.
Since CH2M HILL OMI began providing management and technical services late last year, the facility has a new computerized maintenance management system and an operations data management program in place.
Located in northwest Oregon, about 15 miles west of state capital Salem, Dallas has about 15,000 people and is the county seat of Polk County. Dallas joins more than 15 other Oregon cities and companies that have selected CH2M HILL OMI as their business partner.
CH2M HILL OMI provides a range of custom-tailored operations and maintenance solutions. The company's services include water and wastewater system optimization; contract O&M of water, wastewater and other utilities; and complete municipal operations, including administration, public works and community development.
