CANONSBURG, PA, Feb. 7, 2007 -- Aquatech International Corp. has received a contract from Weyerhaeuser located in Campti, LA. "Weyerhaeuser was looking for a fully integrated water treatment system for their expansion project at the Red River Mill and Aquatech's optimum solution was an excellent fit for their Boiler Feed water requirements," said Aquatech regional sales manager Milind Kulkarni. The plant is designed to treat 1,373 gpm of feed water to produce 1,000 gpm of demineralized water.
The water treatment plant will consist of: 1) Filtration System, comprising of 4 X 33% multi-media filters (MMF) complete with polymer dosing skid to remove suspended solids present in the feed water, and 2) a demineralization system, comprising of of 3 X 50% reverse osmosis units and two working lead-lag fashioned mixed bed units complete with regeneration sub systems. The mixed bed units will be regenerated using sulfuric acid and caustic.
