March 23, 2004 -- McElroy Manufacturing, Inc. is proud to announce that it has reached an agreement with Anatoli Kim and Maran Engineering to represent McElroy in Kazakhstan and Eastern Europe (including the NIS countries of the former Soviet Union).
Kim brings a vast knowledge of polyethylene and fusion equipment to the region, and will play a pivotal role as the region continues to use polyethylene-piping systems to expand its infrastructure.
For the past three years, Kim has served as the plant manager for Chevron Munaigas Inc's (CMI) Atyrau Polyethylene Pipe Plant. CMI's Atryrau Pipe Plant is a McElroy Distributor and supplies polyethylene pipe and McElroy fusion equipment for the Kazakhstan and surrounding markets.
"We are excited about the immense opportunity for fusion equipment in the NIS region," said Dave Hughes Director of Business Operations for McElroy. "We have been doing business in this region for the last five years and have reached a point that we need a McElroy representative in the region to better serve our customers and distributors. Anatoli's experience with polyethylene and McElroy fusion equipment will allow us to continue to experience significant growth in this very important market."
Kim and Maran Engineering will be based in Almaty, Kazakhstan and will serve Kazakhstan, Uzbeckistan, Russia, Ukraine, Romania and other countries in NIS and Eastern Europe.
Since 1969 McElroy Manufacturing, Inc. has provided a comprehensive line of polyethylene pipe fusion equipment for the U.S. and international market. McElroy currently offers machines that fuse pipe and fittings from 1/2" to 63" (20mm to 1600mm).
