Cretex Specialty Products, the innovator and leading manufacturer of Internal and External Manhole Chimney Seals, has been providing quality products for over 34 years with a focus on stopping wet weather inflow and infiltration in sanitary sewer manholes.

The first Cretex Internal Manhole Chimney Seals were installed in sanitary manholes in Milwaukee Wisconsin in February of 1981. Recent inspections and third party materials testing conducted on some of the oldest seals have concluded that the rubber seal and stainless steel bands that make up the Cretex Chimney Seal are in excellent condition and show little, if any signs of deterioration. Proven results and hundreds of thousands of installations to date, make the Cretex Manhole Chimney Seal the longest term, most cost effective method of sealing the frame-chimney joints in manholes.

With the success of the original Cretex Chimney Seal products, a need developed for other products to aid in the sealing of other areas in manholes and pipes. Some of these other products include Internal Manhole and Pipe Joint Seals, Exterior Manhole and Pipe Joint Seal Wraps and most recently, a lightweight Manhole Grade Adjustment Ring System called PRO-RING™. After extensive development and testing, PRO-RING™ was introduced to the market in December 2009 and is now approved by more than 14 state and provincial DOT’s. PRO-RING™ has high chemical resistance, is traffic rated to AASHTO HS-25 and is backed by a 25 year material warranty. Other products offered are Lid Gaskets, Vent and Pick Hole Plugs, HDPE Inflow Dishes.
