Currently serving as an Applications Development Manager of Hach Company Flow Meter Products & Services, Jim Darby has over 39 years of experience in the water and wastewater flow industry. During his tenure at Marsh-McBirney, Jim held numerous positions and is considered an expert on electromagnetic technology. Jim’s flow knowledge and experience was instrumental in the design and development of numerous Marsh-McBirney flowmeters and he holds a patent on flow measurement techniques. A frequent contributor of technical and opinion articles in the various flow industry publications, he is also a former member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) where he served as a member of the Standards Committee on Rate Type Flow Meters.
