On the heels of a successful in-person 2021 Mid-Year Leadership Conference, the Water Quality Association has announced that the 2022 conference is set for Sept. 13 to 15 at the Resort at Squaw Creek, Olympic Valley (Lake Tahoe), California.
MYLC allows industry leaders, WQA committee members, other WQA volunteers, and those wanting to become more active in the industry to gather in a relaxed setting for committee work, industry updates, networking and fun activities that benefit the Water Quality Research Foundation.
“Coming in the middle of the year between our annual WQA Convention and Exposition, the Leadership Conference gives us a more intimate gathering in which to ask questions and share opinions on industry issues while getting to know each other a little better,” said Tom Bruursema, WQA Associate Executive Director of Member & Public Engagement. “It’s a great opportunity to step back for a few days and focus on the future of our industry, and it’s an ideal setting for newcomers to get more involved.”
The Resort at Squaw Creek is at the base of Squaw Valley, site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, and near the California side of Lake Tahoe. Historically, MYLC activities have included a golf tournament, industry updates, a Town Hall meeting, gatherings of various WQA committees and the Board of Directors and fun local excursions. WQA mentoring program participants, who are encouraged to attend the Mid-Year event, infuse new energy and excitement.
Registration is to open in the spring. Conference details, such as hotel arrangements and pricing, will be posted as they become available at the event website, wqa.org/mylc.
