TORONTO, ON, Canada, Sept. 26, 2008 -- Three cities have completed the successful implementation of their new customer information and billing solution, CIS Infinity by Advanced Utility Systems. Two are located in the province of British Columbia and the third in the state of South Dakota.

Advanced customized its proven five-phase implementation methodology for the three clients to ensure each received a solution that best addressed their respective business requirements.

CIS Infinity was also able to handle several specific functionality needs of the cities.

City of Penticton, BC
Penticton bills for a unique discount that is calculated based on a proportionate amount of a total. Advanced modified CIS Infinity with custom development to accommodate Penticton's specialized discount.

Advanced also provided a seamless interface between CIS Infinity to Tempest, Penticton's cashiering system.

In terms of their implementation, prior to go-live, Advanced provided Penticton with hands-on training. This training was tailored to the needs of the City to ensure all staff had the skills they needed to perform their daily tasks.

The City of Penticton Utilities department provides electric and water services to over 41,000 of its citizens or just over 16,000 customers.

City of Nelson, BC
Scalable enough for any utility the Advanced implementation methodology can flex to accommodate clients with over 280,000 accounts with services combined as well as cities such as Nelson, British Columbia that provide water and sewer service to 10,000 accounts.

City of Rapid City, SD
Advanced and Rapid City demonstrated a strong commitment to the implementation of CIS Infinity with respect to dedicated staffing resources and testing which led to the ultimate successful go-live of the project. Specifically, Advanced provided extensive on-site assistance during the pre and post live period to facilitate the transition to the new billing system.

Furthermore, Rapid City is able to take advantage of the built-in solid waste module of CIS Infinity. Some of the features of this module include: extensive inventory fields, the ability to store detailed information for solid waste pickups; the ability to schedule/route solid waste pickups and the ability to bill solid waste pickups by frequency and tonnage, and associated changes.

Rapid City provides water, sewer and solid waste service to 20,000 accounts.

"Advanced works in close collaboration with all of it clients during the implementation of CIS Infinity," comments Steven Hammond, General Manager, Advanced. He goes on to state, "We develop our implementation plan and configure CIS Infinity based on our clients' business goals, user experience and success targets. We do not feel a project is complete or successful unless the client gets a solid return on investment from our CIS solution."

Advanced is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Harris Computer Systems that provides Customer Information and Billing solutions exclusively to utilities and municipalities.
