The EchoStorm™, Gorman-Rupp’s new static venturi aeration device, is designed to add dissolved oxygen into liquids as they are being pumped. It adds oxygen to wastewater, reduces the size of organic solids and degasses organic solids. The EchoStorm is available in 2” (50 mm), 3” (75 mm), 4” (100 mm) and 6” (150 mm) sizes. Depending on the Gorman-Rupp pump it is paired with, the EchoStorm can accommodate flows from 50 to 1,300 GPM with up to 857 lbs. of dissolved oxygen per day. For larger flows and aeration requirements, multiple EchoStorm units can be combined with a single Gorman-Rupp pump to provide larger amounts of dissolved oxygen.
The EchoStorm can be adapted to fit many different aeration arrangements including oxidation ditches, batch reactors and lagoons without modifications to the existing infrastructure. With its small footprint and shore mounted design, the EchoStorm allows for easy installation and maintenance, eliminating the need to travel into a lagoon or removing equipment for maintenance. The EchoStorm and pump allows for mixing and aeration to occur simultaneously, eliminating the need for any additional mixing equipment. With addition of an EchoStorm chemical treatment and hydraulic retention times can be greatly reduced.
The EchoStorm is designed for aeration in a variety of municipal, industrial and agricultural applications. The EchoStorm also provides excellent corrosion and odor controls, eliminating hazardous hydrogen sulfide gas from wastewater. WW
