EBEYE, Marshall Islands - Osmoflo has secured a desalination contract with Kwajalein Atoll Joint Utilities Resources Inc. who provides power, potable water and wastewaterservices to the island of Ebeye, located in the Marshall Islands.
The Marshall Islands, made up of a total of 1,156 individual islands with a population of 53,000 people, are located near the equator in the Pacific Ocean, part of the larger island group of Micronesia.
The project will involve the design, supply and installation of two seawater reverse osmosis plants with a capacity of 1600 m3/day, providing the island with a drinking water supply.
In addition, Osmoflo will provide operation and maintenance of the plants, using its PlantConnect remote monitoring .
Fabrication will occur at Osmoflo’s manufacturing facility in South Australia, with the plant then transported over 5,700km to location in the Marshall Islands.
