WALTHAM, MA, AUG 24, 2017 -- Tecogen® Inc., a clean energy company providing ultra-efficient, clean, natural gas powered on-site power, heating and cooling equipment, recently sold four Tecopower CM-75 combined heat and power units to a wastewater treatment plant on Long Island, NY. The machines, which will have a combined total electrical capacity of 300 KW, will utilize natural gas from the local gas distribution system as opposed to biogas produced on-site.
"This is a new installation at the facility that is both part of an upgrade of its heating and cooling system and at the same time will reduce the plant's reliance on the region's long under strain electric grid," Jeffrey Glick, Vice President of Sales for Tecogen, said. "Ultimately, the cost savings of this will provide at least a little bit of relief to local taxpayers."
