Time is money. So is water. Neptune Technology Group’s complete line of MACH 10® ultrasonic water meters for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications is designed to maximize revenue for today’s water utilities.
The C&I line is an extension of Neptune’s residential and intermediate MACH 10 meters used by water utilities across North America. This range of large meters is available in sizes from 3 to 12 inches and offers stable accuracy over the entire operating range. The MACH 10 incorporates a dual path sensor technology which samples four times per second. This technology more accurately detects changes in water flow rates and eliminates the chance for over or under registering, offering superior accuracy over the entire operating range. The meter’s extended low flow measurement capability provides exceptional leak detection to identify non-revenue losses where traditional mechanical meters cannot.
Reduce Maintenance Costs
Not only can utilities maximize revenue while identifying non-revenue water, they can also reduce maintenance and operational costs with the C&I MACH 10 meter. Designed with no moving parts and an open flow path, the ultrasonic water meter will not clog from contaminants such as dirt or debris and will sustain its accuracy over the life of the meter. Further reducing a utility’s operating costs, the C&I MACH 10 has an innovative design that incorporates a unitized measuring element (UME). The UME contains the meter’s sensing electronics and register and comes pre-calibrated from the factory, enabling easy replacement of the installed meter’s measuring elements without having to remove the meter maincase from service. The need for maintenance is eliminated with the meter’s corrosion-resistant, lead free, high-copper bronze maincase.
Save Time and Work Safely
With no moving parts, the MACH 10 requires no maintenance, resulting in fewer truck rolls, saving time, labor, and money. The meter weighs as little as 50 pounds — half the weight of a compound meter for the same application — and can be mounted in either horizontal or vertical positions. These features save installation time and improve installer safety. The meter comes in industry-standard turbine and compound lay lengths for direct replacement of existing installed mechanical meters, eliminating the need for costly retrofitting of installation sites. The versatile C&I MACH 10 is also UL listed and FM approved for fire service applications, reducing the space and time required to install the traditionally large and bulky mechanical fire service meters.
When it comes to providing efficient, reliable performance in demanding service conditions, a better meter matters. With an open flow path, dual path sensor technology, and a low pressure loss design, the C&I MACH 10 meter is engineered for exceptional accuracy at all flow ranges for the life of the meter. WW
