Pequannock, N.J., July 8, 2002 -- The second edition of The Scott Report: International AMR Deployments was recently released.
This is the only worldwide study of automatic meter reading (AMR) deployments ever produced. It is the result of a unique collaboration - Cognyst Consulting, which produces the highly respected Scott Report on AMR Deployments, and Metering International Magazine, which publishes the only worldwide magazine dedicated to metering.
This collaboration brings together the organizations' separate and unique strengths -- data analysis and vendor access. The resulting report contains:

* A technical overview of 73 separate products.
* Summaries of deployments by geographic area, communication technology, and vendor.

About the Author: Howard A. Scott, Managing Partner of Cognyst Consulting, L.L.C., is a charter member of the Automatic Meter Reading Association (AMRA) and has been chairman of the TIU/Interface Subcommittee of AMRA/IEEE Standards Coordinating Committee SCC31 since its inception in 1987.
He was the first recipient of AMRA's Outstanding Contribution Award in 1994. He is the author of The Scott Report: AMR Deployments in North America, the most complete study of AMR deployments in North America, now in its sixth edition.
